Surfing Cabo San Quintin
Cabo San Quintin is an excellent right sand bottom point break. Cabo San Quintin is very difficult to access, you will need a 4- wheel drive car to get out to the points and another option is to take a boat. Offshore winds face the point, which makes this wave hold its form really well. Probably the best thing about Cabo San Quintin is that it stays perfect and uncrowded. The water temperature at Cabo San Quintin is extremely cold, sometimes up to 10 degrees colder than San Diego.
- Location: 120 miles south of Ensenada. Exit the Highway 1. Just south of the military facility and head west. Look for the yellow sign that says "Entrada y Salida De Vehs Militares" or the white sign "Zona Turisticas De Atractivos Naturales Bahia Falsa Parque Volcanico," stay on the dirt road for a couple of miles until you see the beach. You may not know you are there because there are no signs.
- Swell Direction: Cabo San Quintin is best on West swells
