Hussong Cantina
Hussongs Cantina in the tourist zone. It is Baja's oldest bar still in use, established in 1892 by a German, Johan Hussong, Some say that Ensenada was built around this bar, it was first used as a stage coach stop and is now a historic landmark. Whether during the day or at night, you'll get a feeling of Old Mexico. Famous for it's original margaritas that were said to be invented.

Isla Todos Santos (Todos Santos Island)
Isla Todos santos is a small island located west of Ensenada. This island is known for its amazing surfing. Every year there are several surfing contest held at Isla Todos Santos, such as Billabong XXL. Wave faces can reach above 60 feet on the island. To get to the island you will need to catch a boat out of Ensenada. You can charter a boat out from Ensenada, or La Bufadora (about 2 hours by boat).

La Bufadora
La Bufadora is a marine geyser, or Blowhole located on the Punta Banda Peninsula in Baja California, Mexico. The spout of marine water (occurring every minute or so to varying degrees of height) is created when ocean waves and air are drawn into an underwater cave located in the cliffside. The deep underwater canyon at La Bufadora has been gouged out over eons of time by trillions of tons of pounding surf.

Malecon (El Malecon)
The Malecon in Ensenada is a waterfront walkway along ensenada's waterfront from Azueta to Av. Castillo. The malecon is hard to miss, because of the giant monumental Mexican flag on a 350-foot-tall pole. The malecon will take you by the Fish Market, where you can enjoy an amazing fresh fish taco at one of the local restaurants. Visit Pancho a huge sea lion at Parque Ventana al Mar (Window to the Sea Park).

Mercado de Mariscos - Ensenada Fish Market
Northern Baja California 's largest seafood market. Here you'll find the freshest fish in town. The Mercado de Mariscos in Ensenada is located on the waterfront, half way between the Flag Plaza (Ventana Del Mar) and the Port Captain's office. Most of the market's open air stalls sell catches fresh off the fishing boats that dock nearby everything from huge shrimp to yellowtail tuna & octopus.

Mision San Miguel Arcangel de la Frontera
Mission San Miguel was established on 28 March 1787 by the Dominican missionary Luis Sales among the Kumeyaay Indians of northwestern Baja California, Mexico. The ruins of the mission are located in present day Ejido La Mision in the municipio of Ensenada. The enclosure was rectangular, with the church and the residential quarters facing east and south. It had an open patio, the only entrance to which was a large door located in the southeast corner of the complex.

Misionn Santa Catarina Virgen y Martir
Mission Santa Catarina was founded on November 12, 1797 in the present day Valle of El Alamo in the municipio of Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, by the Dominican missionary Jose Loriente. The site chosen for the mission lay on a plateau over 1,000 m above sea level, surrounded by an irrigable valley, some 62 km west of Mission Santo Tomas. The location was previously known to the native Paipai as Ha'ketepohol, meaning "water that falls loudly".

Plaza Civica
Plaza Civica or the Civic Plaza, an attractive park on Blvd. Costero & Macheros is known locally as "Three Heads Park." This is because it features three giant golden heads of Mexican Heroes Benito Juarez, Miguel Hidalgo and Venustiano Carranza. The park offers panoramic views of Ensenada. The park contains a couple of other interesting monuments, and a large open space with a platform.

Statue of Tara and Ecological Park
Statue of Tara and Ecological Park was built by sculptors from Nepal and Bhutan on the original site of the 1930s Fort Keki, and presented as a gift of peace and friendship by a Nepalese international cultural organization in 1993. This exotic landmark, symbolizing Mother Nature, is set in what tourist brochures call an ecological park. The statue of Tara is a large colorful statue built on a small hill, just beneath the municipal water tank, in the northeast part of the city.

Riviera Del Pacifico
The Social, Civic and Cultural Center of Ensenada occupies the former Riviera del Pacifico, and is used primarily for special functions, such as conventions, social events and occasional art shows. Once a casino and hotel owned by famous boxer Jack Dempsy. Rumored to be backed by mobster Al Capone. It was a favored gathering place for wealthy Americans and Mexicans during the Prohibition era. Among the glamorous clientele were Bing Crosby and Rita Hayworth.

Valle de Guadalupe (Valley of Guadalupe)
The wine growing region of Baja California lies within the valleys of San Vicente , Santo Tomás and Guadalupe , all located in the municipality of Ensenada . Today more than 90% of Mexico 's table wines are produced here, one of the most famous Baja Winery being Bodegas de Santo Tomas, founded in 1888. Much of the Baja California peninsula has a semi-desert climate, but Ensenada 's region has a cold marine current, which is ideal for growing wine grapes.

Whale Watching
Every winter, the grey whale heads 6,000 miles south to the warmer lagoons of Baja in January, February and March. Their main reason for heading south is to mate and give birth in the protected shallow lagoons in Baja. Ensenada is a good place to view these magnificent creatures. Gray whales are known to make a lively show, being naturally curious and social. The whales like to show off their young and sometimes even getting close enough to be petted.

Wineries in Ensenada
With its warm summers and mild winters, not to mention sunny days and cool nights during the growing season, these valleys produce fine Mexican wines with a style of their own. This area of Mexico has been called "the new Napa Valley" because of its untapped potential as a great wine region. The Mission Santo Tomas de Aquino was the first winery in Baja in 1791. There are daily tours and tasting.
