How do I get my Mexico Car Insurance policy?
You will actually print your Mexican Insurance policy directly from our website in just minutes! The process is incredibly simple: Choose between a daily, 6 month or annual policy. Specify the date and time you want coverage to begin. You can have coverage begin immediately or anytime up to one year in advance. Your insurance policy is generated and issued to you immediately after your credit card is approved. You will also have the option to email or text the policy to yourself. An online account will automatically be set up after your first purchase; you can logon anytime to review your policy, print or purchase a new one.
You will be provided with a few coverage options. You can read full descriptions of the coverages on your quote results page.
Step 2. Fill out the online application
Once you select the coverage that is right for you from your quote results page, you will then fill out our quick online information form. Here you will enter your personal and vehicle information.
Step 3. Pay for your insurance policy
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. You will pay for your insurance policy using our SECURE Online credit/debit card payment gateway. (We use a verified & secured credit card process through PayPal).
Step 4. Print your Mexican insurance certificate
Your payment takes but a few seconds to be processed, and then you will be taken to a page where you can print your Mexican insurance policy. An ID card is also available to print. We recommend you keep this in your wallet and the actual policy in the vehicle. Once you print your policy; you are done!

I had trouble printing my policy, or I need to cancel my coverage, or I need to buy another policy, or I did not receive a confirmation email?
You can select to email the policy to any email address should you need to reference it later for printing. An account is automatically created upon purchase so you can login at any time to print or email your policy. If you need to buy another policy, simply login and you can easily create a new application from one of your previous policies. You are also welcome to call us or the headquarter office to assist you with another policy. Should you need to cancel, please contact us as well. We are open Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm PT and Sat 9:00 am - 1:00 pm PT.

Will the Mexican authorities recognize this Online Mexican Insurance?
Yes, the Mexican insurance policy you will print from our website is 100% valid and looks exactly the same as a Mexican Insurance certificate that you would purchase from an insurance office. The policy is issued by a Mexican Insurance company as is required by Mexico Law. The Mexican Insurance policy that you will print from our website will list the phone number that you will need to call in the event of an accident or loss (this is a 24-hour claims phone number). A claims adjuster will be dispatched to your location as soon as you report your claim.

Why do I need Car Insurance for Mexico?
Mexico DOES NOT recognize foreign insurance; therefore, U.S. or Canadian automobile liability insurance is not valid in Mexico, even if your US or Canadian auto policy includes a Mexico Insurance endorsement. If you do not have Car Insurance for Mexico and are involved in an accident, you'll be taken into custody until it can be determined who is liable and whether you have the ability to pay any penalty. If you do not have Car Insurance for Mexico, you may be prevented from departing the country; even if you require life-saving medical care. Drivers may also face criminal charges if injuries or damages are serious.

Does my U.S. insurance policy cover me in Mexico?
Some policies may cover your vehicle for physical damage; however, the Mexican Authorities do not recognize any foreign insurance policies, only from a valid Mexican Auto Insurance Company. You must have a minimum of liability Auto Insurance for Mexico in order to be covered.

What is 'Liability Only' Car Insurance for Mexico?

Your vehicle's value is based off Actual Cash Value or ACV; you can check the value online using the NADA Guides. If your vehicle is financed and you owe more than the ACV value, please contact us, so we can help you issue your policy for the total amount owed and include GAP Coverage.
