Ensenada Wine Festival

Ensenada Wine festival Each August, the wine growers of Ensenada and the Baja California Wine Society celebrate the harvest with a series of events highlighting the culture of wine. The festival is usually held during the first few weeks in August.

The Vintage Festival (known locally as the Fiestas de la Vendimia) lasts for ten days and is open to the public. Many events are scheduled at participating wineries and in town, such as a wine competition, wine tasting, the Paella Contest, music & dance, golf tournaments, lobster dinners, jazz festivals, and seminars. La Vendimia Mexican wine festival, July 31, 2008 thru August 17,2008, is a must for wine enthusiast and gourmet food lovers. Spend a weekend in Ensenada Mexico and go to a few Mexican wineries. The wineries are all located along the Mexican Highway Tecate 3, just 15 minutes from Ensenada. Mexbound.com offers both a list of Ensenada wineries as well as a downloadable wine map.
