Physical Damage of Your Vehicle

HDI's Physical Damage coverage protects your vehicle in the event of an accident or damage caused by some other type of collision. You can choose to have your vehicle repaired in the U.S. or Canada. Towing services are also covered.  In the event of a Total Loss, you will be paid the ACV (Actual Cash Value) of your vehicle up to the amount stated on your policy less your deductible. Vandalism, such as a purposefully broken window, is not covered; however, HDI offers a Premier package which does cover vandalism.

Total Theft of Your Vehicle

HDI Mexico Car Insurance policies protect you in the event that your vehicle is stolen. You are covered up to the Actual Cash Value (ACV) of the Vehicle less the deductible. Coverage is also provided in the event of Fire, Lightning, Strikes, Riots, and Natural Disasters such as cyclone, hurricane, hail, earthquake, volcanic eruption, and avalanche. Towing and repair services are also covered. Partial theft is not covered; however, HDI offers a Premier package which includes coverage for partial theft.

Civil Liability for Property Damage and Bodily Injury to Third Parties

This coverage protects you in the event you cause bodily injury or property damage to someone else (not including occupants of your vehicle). Coverage is available up to $500,000 U.S.  as a Combined Single Limit for damages you do to others.

Medical Expenses for Occupants of the Insured Vehicle

HDI Mexico Car Insurance policies will pay medical expenses of the driver and occupants of the vehicle in Mexico for injuries sustained in a covered cause of loss. Mexico car liability insurance coverage is available up to $20,000 for each injured person but not more than $100,000 for all occupants combined.

HDI now offers MEDICAL EXPENSE COVERAGE for MOTORCYCLES. These policies have a limit of $5,000 per accident for the rider and passenger combined.

Guaranteed Bond and Legal Assistance

Through this coverage, the Mexico Car Insurance Company will provide the professional assistance of a lawyer to defend and represent the insured with the authorities as a consequence of an accident while traveling in Mexico. Furthermore, the Mexican Insurance Company will cover the amount of the bail bond or guarantee, up to the limit of liability. These services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Medical Assistance

In the event that the client contracts an illness or suffers an accident, and if the medical team agrees, the client will be transported by land, air, or international air transportation to closest hospital that can care for their condition including a hospital in the U.S. or Canada. 

Roadside Assistance

Our Mexico Car Insurance policies include roadside assistance plus travel assistance and tourist information. Vehicle towing service is available for up to a maximum amount of $1,000. Additional services include tire change, jump start, locksmith, etc.

Mexico Car Insurance Policies Provide Tourist Assistance

Through HDI Seguros Claims Call Center, they will provide the Client with the following information: location and charge of tollbooths on the main toll roads of Mexico, gas stations, highways in the Mexican Republic and the best or shortest routes between two cities. Telephone numbers and addresses of vehicle impound lots and police stations within the Mexican Republic. They will provide the following tourist information:

• Sports facilities & sporting events

Optional HDI Seguros Premier Package

HDI Seguros offers an optional expanded coverage policy called HDI Premier. This policy includes partial theft and vandalism coverage as well as a waiver deductible. If you are not at fault in the accident as determined by the authorities or HDI adjuster, you will not have to pay your deductible to have your vehicle repaired.
