Surfing Punta Cabras
Punta Cabras is a sandy cove with a few good reef breaks. Punta Cabras gets offshore winds, but like Punta San Jose it stays protected, making it really fun. Lots of San Diego surfer's camp here, making Punta Cabras a safe place to surf.
- Location: To get there it is best to go with either a guide or someone who has been there before, drive south from Ensenada through Santo Tomas wine-growing valley. Twenty-nine miles beyond Ensenada, turn west onto a dirt road at the town of Santo Tomas. Fourteen miles from Santo Tomas, bear left at a fork in the road. You will pass private fenced ranches.
- Swell Direction: South or West
