Puerto Escondido, The Mexican Pipeline

Surfing The Gulf of Mexico Water Temperature
Surfing Mexico in the Summertime is like a warm bath. The water will sometimes get so warm it will melt the wax off your board. The coolest water temperature in the southern states (Chiapas, Guerrero, Oaxaca and Michoacan) is the mid 70s, usually in April. Even when Surfing Mexico in the Winter months you almost never will need to wear a wetsuit. As you get a bit farther north (Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit) the water gets colder and stays cooler longer.
