Legend has it that during the 1920's, Italian born Caesar Cardini a restaurant owner and entrepreneur created the Caesar's salad in his Tijuana restaurant as a last minute item for a 4th of July weekend. At that time Tijuana was the tourist destination among celebrities, party lovers and gangsters to escape the restrictions of prohibition in the United States. In no time, this was a popular dish among Hollywood celebrities and its popularity has reached all over the world.
The original Caesar's restaurant continues it's legacy serving this legendary salad along with a great menu including Duck a l'orange, Filet ’’chauteaubriand’’ and many more.
Only 18 miles from downtown San Diego, making this a quick drive to enjoy a wonderful meal and connect with history at this legendary restaurant.
